Free Program in West Bloomfield Tackles Dementia Agitation
A local program at Fleischman Residence offers guidance on managing dementia agitation, including new treatment approaches and caregiver support.
Agitation is one of the most common and challenging symptoms associated with dementia, often causing distress for both individuals living with the condition and the loved ones caring for them. It can present in a variety of ways, including restlessness or pacing, irritability, sudden mood changes, repetitive questions or actions, verbal outbursts, resistance to care, sleep disturbances and increased confusion later in the day, commonly referred to as sundowning.
