Free Alzheimer’s Caregiver Webinar Hosted by Brown Jewish Adult Day Program
The Dorothy and Peter Brown Jewish Community Adult Day Program, a day program offering innovative activities and care for Metro Detroiters living with dementia, will be offering a free virtual program on the latest treatments available for treating Alzheimer’s disease.
The live webinar on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. will focus on FDA-approved therapies such as Rexulti, approved in 2023, and Kisunla, approved in 2024, and will also explain how anti-amyloid therapies work, including the benefits and potential side-effects, and the processes for accessing the latest treatments.
The program is suitable for caregivers and advocates of people living with dementia. The Michigan Great Lakes Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association says there are more than 202,000 Michiganders living with Alzheimer’s.
