Trade Secrets Event in April Supports Women to Work Initiative

Trade Secrets will be held on Thursday, April 23, at the Detroit Marriott Troy.

Maimonides, a Sephardic rabbi and Torah scholar, is famous for defining eight levels of charitable giving. He defined the highest form of charity as a gift fostering the recipient’s independence — such as a loan, business partnership or job rather than an outright financial donation. Gesher Human Services follows this ideal — helping thousands of individuals gain the skills necessary for self-reliance and financial stability.

“They are giving people tools, not a handout, so they can support themselves and their families,” explains Kristen R. Gross, past president of the Board at Gesher Human Services and founding member of the Law Offices of Kristen R. Gross, P.C. She will be the honoree and keynote speaker at the 17th Trade Secrets fundraiser for Gesher’s workforce initiatives for Detroit area women.
